Charitable Donations

The Companions of the Chapter of Stability No. 564 have ended this Calendar year by providing excellent Charitable support to 4 local organisations with cheque donations of £200 each.

The MEZ, E. Comp. G. A. Smith, presented a cheque to Jen Coleman, CEO of the Black Country Food Bank, at their base in Brierley Hill, as shown in our photograph. The pandemic has seen a rise in the need for the Food Bank, with over 300,000 meals being given out this year.

E. Comp. D. J. Bell, PGStB, PPrGJ, presented a cheque to his daughter Clair Towns, the CEO, Matron and Registered Manager of The Mary Stevens Hospice. The pandemic has impacted on their fund raising activities, so the donation was well received.

E. Comp. M. Bayliss, PPrAGDC (Staffs), presented a cheque to Katie Ashby who runs the Kids Clothes Project. As well as re-cycled Kids Clothes, she also supplies new underwear for children.

The MEZ also presented the final cheque to Vi Wood who runs Leslie's Care Packages from their base in Norton, Nr. Stourbridge. Vi and her team are currently very busy putting up and distributing packages to help disadvantaged and homeless people. cheque Their mission is to provide much needed provisions such as food, toiletries, sleeping bags, and clothing.

These important donations once again showing Freemasonry in general and the Holy Royal Arch in particular providing much needed assistance within the local community.
