Provincial Grand Charity Steward

Stuart Rothero is the Provincial Grand Charity Steward for the Royal Arch Province of Worcestershire, having been appointed in April 2020. Born in Birmingham he lived in Moseley until the mid 80's before moving to to Kidderminster where he still resides. He spent the majority of his working life in management administrative roles initially working for Birmingham City Council, then serving as a Magistrates Clerk before moving into more senior posts in both the public and private sectors prior to retiring in 2012.

He was Initiated into the Lodge of Yardley 6324 in 2002 became WM in 2009 and then again in 2014 following which he accepted the office of Lodge Secretary in 2016, an office he still holds. He joined Godson Lodge 2385 in 2004 and was WM in 2010 and then became Lodge Treasurer in 2013 again an office he still holds. He received Provincial Promotion to PProvGSwdB in 2018 and then was appointed to ProvAGReg in 2019.

Exalted into Stechford RA Chapter 3185 in 2007 he became the 1st Principal in 2014 and is now passing through the Principals Chairs again. He was Promoted to ProvGStdB in 2017, became a ProvGStwd in 2018 and appointed as ProvGCharity Steward in 2020.

He is a member of several other Orders, notably in the Ancient and Accepted Rite where he holds the 30th Degree and has also been Master & Commander of Stechford Mark & RAM Lodges respectively.

Stuart is a keen sports spectator following on from his younger days when he was a member of Birchfield Harriers and was both a player and organiser of 5 a side Football in the Birmingham area. In his spare time he enjoys cooking, reading and "sampling" good wines.
