Cecil G Carris

Cecil was appointed Provincial Grand Scribe Ezra in January 2015, having served as Provincial Assistant G.S.E. for the previous three years. Educated at Edgecliff High School in Kinver, where he lived for many years before marrying his wife Mitch and moving to Kidderminster where they still live.

He worked locally in the Construction Industry for 12 years before undertaking a long career in Contract Furniture Sales, finally retiring 5 years ago from his last position as a Management Auditor.

Initiated into the Lodge of Hope and Charity No.377 in 1988 and serving as Worshipful Master in 1999. He was appointed to Prov.S.G.D. in 2004 and further promoted to P.Prov.G.Swd.B. in 2010.

Exalted into Severn Royal Arch Chapter No.5583 in 1993, he became MEZ in 2002. He also joined the Royal Arch Chapter of Hope and Charity No.377 in 2004, upon which he was appointed Scribe E on the same evening, an office he held until recently.

His first appointment in the Holy Royal Arch came in 2005 as Prov.G.Stwd., followed by promotions to P.Pr.G.Soj. in 2010 and P.Pr.G.Reg. in 2013., and he is a member of Worcestershire Installed First Principals No. 6889.

Cecil is active in many Masonic orders. Outside of Masonry, his hobbies and interests have included Scouting, Sailing, Squash and Swimming.
